IMPROVING THE QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY OF COOPERATION IN ALL FIELDS WITH CHINA
On the afternoon of April 21, at the Ministry of Justice Headquarters, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Tinh had a meeting and worked with Mr. Ly Dao Quan, Director of the Department of Justice of the Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Province (China) and the working delegation of the Department of Justice of Guangxi Province.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Tinh expressed his delight at the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China that has continuously developed in depth; cooperation in various fields has achieved many positive, profound, substantial and comprehensive developments. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China has been increasingly affirmed after visits and most recently the visit and work of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping in Vietnam from April 14-15, 2025. The Deputy Minister also expressed his delight that in recent times, local judicial agencies of the two sides, especially the Departments of Justice sharing the border, have had many delegation exchange activities to share experiences in professional and technical work. In particular, the two Ministers of Justice signed an Agreement on Organizing the First Judicial Conference of Provinces Sharing the Vietnam-China Border, scheduled to be held from June 26 to July 1, 2025 in China (in Beijing and Nanning Province), opening a systematic cooperation mechanism between the Departments of Justice of the provinces sharing the Vietnam-China border in particular and a comprehensive and overall cooperation mechanism between the legal and judicial agencies of the two sides from the central to local levels in general.
Expressing his belief that the Conference will be a great success, the Deputy Minister hoped that the Director of the Department of Justice of Guangxi Province, based on the working session with the Ministry of Justice today, would further understand the situation of Vietnam's preparations and inform the Minister of Justice of China so that the Conference would be most successful.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Tinh also requested the Department of Justice of Guangxi to continue to closely coordinate with the Departments of Justice of Vietnam sharing the border to actively and proactively participate in the preparation for the First Judicial Conference of the provinces sharing the border between Vietnam and China to promote cooperation, enhance exchanges, share experiences in implementing local judicial work, and coordinate in handling legal and judicial issues of people and businesses in the border areas. Emphasizing that enhancing digital transformation in the field of justice is one of the key tasks of Vietnam in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Tinh requested the Department of Justice of Guangxi to continue to promote cooperation activities with local Departments of Justice of Vietnam and relevant legal and judicial agencies to be increasingly substantive and effective. Thereby, contributing to strengthening cooperation in the field of law and justice in general and cooperation between localities in particular, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, realizing the strategic goal of "Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future of Strategic Significance" according to the Vietnam - China Joint Statement.
In his response, Director of the Department of Justice of Guangxi Province Li Daojun also emphasized Guangxi's deep interest in the trend of digital transformation in the judicial sector, focusing on the application of information technology and artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of serving people and businesses, towards a modern, transparent and friendly judicial system. Mr. Li Daojun affirmed that he will continue to promote cooperation activities with the local Department of Justice of Vietnam and relevant legal and judicial agencies to be increasingly substantive and effective, first of all, coordinating to successfully organize the first Judicial Conference of provinces sharing the Vietnam-China border in China, contributing to strengthening cooperation in the legal and judicial sector in general and cooperation between localities in particular, deepening the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the common perception of the two countries' senior leaders on the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future.
