Delegation of the Justice Ministry to carry out an information technology survey in the Lao People's Democratic Republic

Pursuant to Decision No. 1478/QD-BTP dated August 23, 2011 of the Justice Minister, the delegation of the Justice Ministry led by Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, director of information technology department, paid a working visit to Lao People's Democratic Republic  from August 28 to  August 31. The visit aimed at exchanging and investigating essential information to promote and implement the data center construction project for Laos Ministry of Justice.

During the four-day working visit to Laos, the delegation surveyed the application of information technology in Lao Ministry of Justice, Justice Department of Vientiane Capital, Vientiane Provincial Department of Justice, the law college in the Central and Justice Division in Xaythani district.

The data center construction project for Lao Ministry of Justice in the stage 2008-2013 is one of the contents under the Agreement on Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. After examining the  information technology application of Lao justice sector, the delegation will report the plans on information technology development for Lao justice sector as well as the implementation of the data center construction project for Lao Ministry of Justice to Vietnamese Minister of Justice./.-ITD
